North Vietnamese Pit helmet, this was the standard issue
for many North Vietnam Army NVA soldiers in this case it is
an enlisted mans helmet with the solid red crest. Not of any
protection but light to wear and keep the sun off of the soldiers
head. This head gear was also sometimes substitute with their
version of a booney hat or no hat at all.
